About Laurie Gibson
Before representing parents, Laurie Gibson represented the state — giving her a rare, inside view of how courts evaluate custody cases that most family law attorneys simply don't have.
During law school, Laurie interned at the Hamilton County Prosecutor's office in the Children's Services Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency division — where she represented Job and Family Services in the adjudication of parental rights.
This isn't a credential she mentions in passing. It's the foundation of her entire approach to custody cases. She has sat at the prosecution table. She knows what evidence courts find compelling. She knows how judges evaluate parental fitness, what arguments fall flat, and what facts change outcomes.
When you hire Laurie Gibson, you're not just hiring an attorney who knows custody law — you're hiring someone who understands the institutional machinery that decides your case.
"I treat your case as if it were my own. I handle your case with dedication to your cause, passion for your family's best interest, and strategic legal preparation."
— Laurie B. Gibson, Esq.

During law school, Laurie interned at the Hamilton County Prosecutor's office in the Children's Services Abuse/Neglect/Dependency division, representing Job and Family Services in the adjudication of parental rights. Since entering private practice, Laurie has devoted her practice exclusively to child custody and related family law matters — not divorce, not business litigation. This singular focus means her clients benefit from deep, current expertise in Ohio custody law, including ORC 3109.04 (best interest factors), shared parenting plans, and post-decree modifications.
Laurie has published legal articles in the area of child custody in Ohio, demonstrating her commitment to advancing the field and sharing her expertise beyond the courtroom.
Laurie serves clients in both Hamilton and Clermont Counties in Juvenile Court and Domestic Relations Court. Her office is located in Anderson Township, near Cincinnati, Ohio.
